Event Rentals Internship

Event Rentals is a family-owned business, with four locations across South Carolina, specializing in event and party needs for weddings, corporate events, private parties and functions. We offer services such as tables, chairs, tents, decor, tableware, production, and delivery/setup.

The ideal team member will have excellent communication skills, be attentive to details, manage time and multitask well in a fast-paced but fun work environment.

Position Tasks & Activities

● Primarily responsible for assisting clients in choosing the proper party rental equipment for their events.

 ● Be courteous and responsive to walk-in customers.

● Communicate effectively and professionally with customers via email, phone calls, or face-to-face interactions.

● Create layouts of tents and event sites, using PCAD Software.

● Prepare rental contracts, obtain payments, follow up on unconfirmed quotes.

 ● Communicate all event details with internal staff to ensure a smooth installation.

● Proactively manage customers’ satisfaction and service delivery by anticipating potential service problems, and monitoring satisfaction.

 ● Daily inspection of the showroom for cleanliness and organization.

 ● Redecorate the showroom seasonally as needed and resupply inventory on display.

 

 Skills & Requirements

● Must maintain a professional appearance.

● Follow all sales processes, procedures and policies.

 ● Possess strong sales and customer relation skills.

 ● Maintain product knowledge and industry trends.

● Computer knowledge is required. Training on rental management and CAD software will be provided. ● Cooperative working relationship with co-workers.

 ● Demonstrate organizational skills.

 Physical Demand

● Ability to sit at a computer; use hands to operate a keyboard and reach with hands and arms to move inventory.

 ● The employee is often required to stand and walk around the showroom.

 ● Must be able to lift 30 pounds and have a full range of motion and dexterity, including but not limited to the ability to bend, squat, and reach overhead.

 

Compensation: Hourly wage will be based on experience and qualifications.
