Must be responsible and able to be a team oriented associate, having communication skills, experience in reducing inventories, able to react to changing needs and a full commitment to achieve customer needs.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Manage buy process and inventory levels to service account needs and meet company goals. Work on keeping inventory at a 5 to 8 week level.
  • Verify when inventory is needed based on ship date, lead times, transit and other data provided by GPM system. (Planning System)
  • Consistently plan production to avoid peaks, valleys and gaps.
  • Monitor DC inventory levels to ensure order allocation without forcing and react to any excess or shortages. Goal is to ship 98% on time.
  • Weekly review of vendor wip report addressing any potential issues that could impact production flow.
  • Review inventory and determine excesses.
